An ELC valve (Exhaust Line Check) is a type of valve that is used in the exhaust system of a diesel engine to reduce the amount of NOx (nitrogen oxides) emissions that are released into the atmosphere. These valves work by injecting a small amount of diesel fuel into the exhaust stream, which reacts with the NOx to form harmless water and nitrogen.
